On view in Red Giant’s new project space, Double Take is a curatorial collaboration with Red Giant’s current residents, Ellie Works, Shea Kister, and Isaac Kim. Presented in Red Giant’s new project space, the exhibition brings together six works: one selected by each resident from their own practice and one by a fellow artist of their choosing. Through this structure, the exhibition opens a space for dialogue across affinities, influences, and approaches, inviting conversation around how artists see one another’s work and position themselves in relation to a broader creative community.

Rather than presenting a single thematic premise, Double Take is shaped through acts of selection. Each resident has paired their own work with that of another artist, creating a small but intentional constellation of relationships. These pairings do not necessarily seek resolution or agreement, but instead make room for resonance, friction, contrast, and curiosity. In doing so, the exhibition reflects the social and discursive dimensions of studio practice, where meaning often emerges through conversation, proximity, and mutual regard.
